Improving
Faculty Evaluations
Understanding and improving
faculty course evaluations (FCEs) is a widely debated topic
among faculty. For example, does giving less work and grading
easier correlate to better FCE ratings? This presentation will
discuss factors that do and do not affect FCEs, and factors
that bias FCEs, including grading. Interpreting EKU's IDEA form
will be considered. FCEs and student learning will be discussed.
Emphasis and specific examples will be given related to improving
teaching areas that highly correlate with student learning.
